About Us
Dr. Karen Manuel has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 33 years. She first became interested in becoming a veterinarian as a young girl growing up with a father that loved all animals. She attended NC State College of Veterinary Medicine as a NC resident growing up in Winston-Salem. She moved to Richmond at the time of graduation to take her first job as a veterinarian. Currently, she shares her home with her 3 kitties, Marshmellow (13 years old) and two one year old sister kitties (Milly and Cassy).
Dr. Manuel has been the owner and sole veterinarian of her own practice At Home Vet Care RVA for the past 30 years. Providing the best possible care to pets as well as establishing a long term relationship both with the pets and their owners is her primary goal.
